Going out in  Cork City is great fun and there are lots of things to do 7 days a week. There is a vibrant music scene with many local and international bands playing.  Here are some ideas to get a flavour of what’s happening in Cork.

Ceili by the lee.

 

There is music on 7 nights a week at the Crane Lane. There are DJ’S and bands playing in the two main areas of the bar. On a Monday evening at 7.30 pm you can try your hand ( or foot) at Irish dancing. The Ceili by the Lee is a Irish Dancing night were you can get lessons. This is a great way to learn how to Irish dance and make new friends. Admission is €5

If dancing is you thing then there is more on offer on a Tuesday night. The swing dance classes with swing Eire are a fun and friendly bunch. This is a fun evening and a great way to meet new people. Admission €10.

There are live bands most nights in the Crane Lane and many are free gigs. Check out the Crane Lane Website website of facebook for more details.

Traditional Irish Music.

If you would like to hear some traditional Irish Music there are plenty of sessions happening in the city. The Sine E Bar on Coburg St has music every night. The music starts at 6.30 to close each evening. This is a great way to hear traditional Irish Music.

The Lee Sessions play in a variety of bars in the city including SinE. The is a group of experienced Music players. They play in The Oliver Plunkett, The Gables and The Corner House. Here is a link to the Lee Sessions website with all details.
