This month we are going to look at places to eat in Cork on a budget. There is a great tradition of food in Cork. With lots of fresh produce available in the English Market there is great choice and value when you are looking for something to eat. These are the top ten eateries we recommend in Cork

 

  1. The Fish Wife Located on Grand Parade and McCurtain is a traditional Fish and Chip shop.
  2. The Rocketman. If you want healthy food then this is a great option. Using fresh local produce from the English Market. Location on Princes St.
  3. CoMix cafe has a range of hearty dishes from across Europe. The food is good value and will not disappoint. Located on Maylor Street.
  4. If you enjoy Middle Eastern food Umi Falafel on Academy Street have a range of falafel and salads. This is a great vegetarian option.
  5. For a more traditional taste try O’Flynn’s Sausages in the English market and Winthrop St.
  6. A good place to go for a social event is the Rising Son Brewery on Corknmarket St. The Pizza and a pint is great value.
  7. If you a looking for Vegetarian and Vegan options the Quay Co-op on Sullivan’s Quay has fresh food daily.
  8. Ramen has various locations across the city. They are Asian street food and the 6 before 6 is great value.
  9. For authentic Italian Pizza Novocento is the perfect spot. It is located on McCurtain St and Douglas St.
  10. If you enjoy a Hamburger then the West Cork Burger Company is a new addition to Cork. The Burgers come with Free chips before 3.30pm Mon- Fri.
