Now that Summer is here and we are enjoying the famous Irish weather. It could be raining one minute and sunny the next but you have to make the most of it. The long evening allow extra time to do some outdoor activities. If you can brave a swim in the Sea there are some excellent beaches that are a bus ride from the City. There are also leisure centres with swimming pools and are the ideal place to unwind.

The beaches in Cork. 

Kinsale Beach. This will involve a bus ride to Kinsale and a short walk. This is a popular beach with locals and is an ideal place to visit on a Summer’s Day.

The next beaches are in East Cork. They are all popular destinations in the Summer and are accessible by public transport. They are Garretstown Beach, Battery Strand, Fountainstown, Youghal Beach and Garryvoe.

Use Google maps to get more information and directions and enjoy your day out.

These are some options and it is worth doing some more research to find what other activities are available at the beach or complex. Enjoy the Summer.
